Coarse mesh or fine mesh?

Choose the coarse mesh version when airflow is the priority and you want the least restrictive mesh option. How to install a 45mm push fit vent

1. Mark the vent position on the enclosure wall or lid.
2. Cut a clean 45mm hole. A 45mm hole saw helps create a consistent opening.
3. Remove any burrs or loose plastic around the edge.
4. Press the vent firmly into the hole until the body is seated securely.

High-airflow ventilation for isopod and terrarium tubs

Ventilation helps control condensation, stale air and excessive moisture, but it should still be balanced against the humidity needs of the animals inside. Coarse-mesh vents are particularly useful where a tub needs stronger air exchange or where multiple ventilation points are being used to create cross-flow.

For larger enclosures, positioning vents on opposing sides can encourage gentle cross-ventilation. After adding ventilation, monitor the moist refuge and substrate so you can adjust watering if the enclosure begins to dry faster than before.
