Origin: Naturally found across parts of Europe and North America.
Humidity: 50–80% - Ideally with a high-moisture substrate layer.
Temperature: Ideal 22-25 °C; tolerates 15–26 °C for short periods.
Beginner Suitability: Not ideal for those brand-new to isopod keeping. Due to their small size, burrowing habit, and shy nature, they can take weeks to “show” as they remain under the substrate and often cause owners to disturb them during moulting periods, leading to deformations and potential death.
